Cat Enclosure

We finally have our cat enclosure almost finished. At least for now. I am sure that it will be an ongoing project. Inside the enclosure we have a shed and a cat "house" for the cats to play in. We also used drain tiles to make tunnels for the cats to play in. I am going to take some photos most likely this weekend. I will try to post them next week.

Busy

I haven't been blogging much lately because I have been extremely busy getting ready for the Clinton Fall Festival in September. I also have a rather large order of dishcloths that I am trying to fill. What have you been busy with lately?

I have also been building a cat enclosure that is about 400 linear feet. I bought the fence material from http://www.purrfectfence.com/ If you have cats you should check out this website. I can't wait to get the enclosure done so I can put our cats in it. I know that they will be safe and have tons of fun playing outside. I will not have to worry about them running away, getting lost or worse yet getting hit by a car. I also built a shed for our cats. Our outdoor cats love checking out the area to make sure everything is going ok and up to their approval :)

My New Model!

I am extremely excited about my new model. I think that she looks so cool and I will get so much use out of her. At first I was a little hesitant that she had painted on hair instead of a wig, but now I think I like her better the way that she is now. What do you think? Does she look good the way that she is or does she need a wig?

Craft Show Update

The craft show got rained out so we had to leave early. However it was lots of fun and I met a lot of nice people. I also learned how to put up my tent with the help of another nice crafter. Now I am all ready for the Clinton Fall Festival in September.

We put out our Humming Bird Feeder today. I am so excited to see the Humming Birds this year. Did you know that red dye causes Humming Birds to get cancer. You should not use red dye instead you should use a red Humming Bird Feeder. Have you seen any Humming Birds this year?

I finished crocheting the tentacles. Now I just have to finishing stuffing and sewing. Everybody is leaving such great names! I think that I will have to put them all in a hat and draw one.

I am in the middle of making an Amigurumi Octopus. So far I have the head/body done. Now I have to make 8 tentacles. Does anyone have a suggestion for a name for this Octopus?

Guide Horses

I was watching t.v. Thursday morning and they had a show on about miniature guide horses for the blind. They said that they work just as well as dogs. Here is a link to the Guide Horse Foundation, it contains a lot of interesting information: http://www.guidehorse.org/
They have a lot of pictures of the horsing working with their owners.
When I was in high school, for about a week I volunteered at a place that trains guide dogs. I think that this place would be just as much fun.

I am so hungry, but I can't seem to get away from the computer! I am so addicted to the internet. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you see this as a problem? My stomach is growling, but I just keep cruising the internet. I have met lot's of nice people online. My other problem is I am not a big fan of cooking. I mainly make pasta dishes from boxes. I suppose I will peel myself away from the computer and see if I can find anything to eat.

I found the cutiest pattern in Creative Knitting magazine for Mary Jane Socks for babies. I am checking my yarn stash so I can start making them either tonight or tomorrow. They are to precious :) I might have to make a pair to give to my niece. If they turn out I will put a pair up on Etsy.

I didn't realize that tick season had started until I had to pull about a dozen ticks off one of our cats :( I felt so bad for her. I don't know how she got so many ticks on her. None of our other cats have any ticks on them. Now I am paranoid that I have ticks on me. I keep feeling my head and hair to see if their is anything in it. It is so creepy! I am going to have to get tick spray tomorrow, to keep all of our animals safe. I hate ticks they are so creepy. Normally bugs don't bother me, but ticks really freak me out.

Finally a woman won the Biggest Loser competition! It is about time. I have been waiting for this since the beginning and started to think maybe it was never going to happen. I am so excited I can't think straight. Today on Etsy one of the administrators asked people for suggestions for the Everyday (under $15) gift guide. I suggested my red and white dishcloths and guess what they choose them!!!!! I can't believe it. Blanket and matching pillow

A couple weeks ago I crocheted a purple blanket for an American Girl Doll. I decided last night to make a matching pillow for it. This is going to be the first pillow that I crochet. So far it is turning out to be very pretty. I need to go to the craft store and buy some stuffing for it. I am so excited about putting it up on Etsy! Check back often to see when I list it :)

Promo Grab Bag

I went to the craft store today. I just wanted to buy some beads that I am using to make an anklet for my Aunt. I came home with the beads (luckily), 15 skeins of yarn, 6 cuts of fabric including enough to make a blanket! How did that happen? Darn craft store!!!! They get me everytime! I think that I need to be banned from going to any craft stores! My husband tries to ban me, but obviously I don't listen! How was your last trip to the craft store? Did you stick to your list, if so can you give me some advice?

Favorite Movies!

So what is everyone's favorite movie? I have tons of them. I especially love scary movies ( including but not limited to any and all Saw movies, Stephen King movies, why am I drawing a mental block right now?). I also like chick flicks exs. Mean Girls, The Prince and Me.

So who played an April Fool's day joke today? I didn't I couldn't think of anything to do :( I think my lunch was an April Fool's day joke. I found an unidentified gross object in it. Then I found a hair baked into the bread. Gross!!!! I wanted to throw up :( No more sub for me. It was so dissappointing! I hope your April Fool's day went better :) Maybe this is payback for all the mean jokes I played on people as a child. lol.

Tangled Yarn!

One of my nieces got some of my yarn all tangled up. I am working on getting it untangled so I can make an American Girl Doll blanket. The only good part about it, is that it is so soft it feels really nice. Anyone else have problems with tangled yarn?

I can't believe that Easter is in less than 2 days and we are having a snow storm! How crazy is that! I was hoping that we were done with lots of snow for the season. I'll have to get my snow boots back out. Anyone up for some sledding? Maybe on Easter we can do some sledding. My nephew will probably want to help me plow snow with his favorite tractor :) That will be fun! Maybe we all can make Easter Bunny Snowmen :) lol! Have fun playing in the snow if you have it!

I am trying to improve my photography. I have set up a makeshift "photography studio" in my house. My husband is a photographer, but he does outdoor photography and doesn't have time to help me. I have taken one photo that I love and have been trying to duplicate it with my other products to no avail. One of my main problems is it has been really foggy lately, so the lighting is horrible. I am having fun trying to perfect my photographs. I hope that other people think they are improving :) Thanks for listening.

Green is my favorite color

I love St. Patrick's day b/c green has always been my favorite color! Don't forget to wear green tomorrow or someone may pinch you :) I would never do that to anyone! lol! My husband loves St. Patrick's day b/c McDonald's has green shakes. Every year he has to make sure that he buys his fair share of them. Mint bothers my stomach so I don't share his enthusiasm for them, but I try to help him remember them each year.
I have a neon green sweatshirt & matching neon green hat that will be perfect for tomorrow. I want to make sure that everyone knows I am wearing green.

I am so excited! I just got back from setting up a booth @ Sand Creek High School's craft show. The show is tomorrow and I can't wait!!! It should be lots of fun :) Their are lot's of great crafters at the show. I am trying out a new way to display my items, I hope that my display looks better and is more customer friendly. I will let you all now how things go. The only bad part is having to get up early in the morning :( Wish me luck tomorrow :)
